  Our daughter just completed her first year of kindergarten at Ambleside. She loved it and we loved it. We love the small class sizes. The curriculum is great as well! And we love the emphasis on developing in the children of love of learning for the sake of learning. We really look forward to the upcoming school year!

  I attended Ambleside from 2nd grade to 8th grade. It underwent many changes while I was there. I can confidently say that it prepared me for high school and instilled in me a deeper understanding and appreciation of primary sources. I am now a senior in high school applying to colleges, and find myself confident and competitive, thanks in large to the education Ambleside in Herdon provided. In response to the May 19, 2010 review. My teachers at Ambleside were loving and cared about me as a person. The school is full to its capacity now, and almost all students have stayed. The teachers do not choose what they would like to teach from the curriculum, it is regulated and full of rich, primary texts. The learning environment could not be better. I have visited Ambleside many times since my graduation and remain in touch with many of the staff and kids that were in my class. This school is definitely somewhere you want to look into if you wish your child to develop critical thinking and analysis and their own individual brand of thinking.
